The Passing Of Former President George H.W. Bush

On Friday, November 30th, George H.W Bush passed away in the comfort of his own home. He was surrounded by his family, including his son Neil Bush and his wife Maria Bush, James Baker- his best friend and former Secretary of State, and his grandchild Pierce Bush. Neil expressed how beautiful the moment was and how his father was in the loving embrace of family. He claimed, “It was a prayerful, incredible time.”

After George H.W Bush’s wife, Barbara Bush, passed away April 17th he had been hospitalized multiple times. He had been dealing with health issues over the years. One of the diseases he had was a form of Parkinson’s disease. But, when he was asked to go to the hospital in his final hours he declined. He stated that he was ready to go. That he wanted to be with his late wife Barbara, who he was married to for 73 years, and his daughter who died of leukemia as a child, Robin.

George H.W Bush’s last words were “I love you, too,” after his son told him how much of a wonderful father he had been on speakerphone.

Former President George H.W Bush will have a memorial service at the National Cathedral in Washington, then another memorial service will follow at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas. George H.W Bush will be laid to rest with his wife and his child Robin at the George H.W Bush Presidential Library in College Station, Texas.
