Written by Austin Bostick       09/13/18

Hurricane Florence pierced through both Carolinas. Florence was considered category 4 hurricane which is the second most powerful hurricane possible, only 27 mph from being as destructive as Katrina.  Just in moments, the streets were flooded bringing down about 3 inches of rain an hour flooding houses up to the waist and chest. It’s brought close to 40 inches of rain in certain parts of the state.  With speeds up to 130 mph and the storm surge up to 13 feet high this category 4 hurricane did some significant damage, and if you want to donate to the cause, please send donations to the Red Cross.
