Ariana Grande’s “Sweetener”

Ariana Grande released her “Sweetener” teaser on June 28th, 2018 and released “Sweetener” August 17th. Sadly, the only way you can currently listen to her new release is on Spotify. We don’t know when she’ll release it on Youtube or on other platforms. It has been two years since the release of her album “Dangerous Woman”. This is her first official studio album since 2016. Also, Grande received 15.1 million listens to “Sweetener” the first day it came out on Spotify. This is the U.S Spotify record for having the biggest opening day as a female artist. Since May 1st she revealed the title of the album “Sweetener” with an interview with Jimmy Fallon. She also added that “It’s kind of about bringing light to a situation or to someone’s life or somebody else who brings light to your life or, sweetening the situation.”

Another update on Grande is that she performed at Aretha Franklin’s funeral August 31st in Detroit, Michigan. She went with her fiance, Pete Davidson and sang “Natural Woman”, a tribute to Aretha. Aretha died at the age of 76 on August 16th, 2018. Here is another link explaining more about her performance.
